Diets

Q: I really love chocolate and especially chocolate cake. Can I still have chocolate cake on the Food Monster program?

A. Yes. You can eat chocolate, chocolate cake, cookies, pies and ice cream or any specific foods you want (as long as it is okay with your doctor!)

The Food Monster is a permanent weight loss program which does not utilize diet or exercise, therefore it does not recommend particular foods nor does it restrict particular foods.

Q: I have been on a number of programs that give points for various foods and portions. The number of points is limited per day. Does the Food Monster have anything like a point system?

A: No. There are no points to count. Your food intake is not monitored in any manner. You are not asked to count or control your calories.

Q: Do I have to buy any special foods from the Food Monster?

A: No. The Food Monster Program does not sell or otherwise provide any foods. Nor does it require or suggest any special foods to be eaten.

Q: I am on a restricted doctor ordered diet for a medical condition. Will there be any conflict with my diet and the Food Monster?

A: No. Since the Food Monster Program is not a diet program and does not recommend or restrict foods, it is compatible with any special diet plan.

Exercise

Q: How much exercise do I have to do?

A: None. There are no exercise components in the Food Monster Program. You will not be asked to do any physical exercises. The Food Monster works equally well for couch potatoes and fitness enthusiasts.

Q: You say that there are no exercise programs in the Food Monster. Is it ok for me to start an exercise routine while doing the Food Monster Program?

A: Yes it is, but, as always, before starting any exercise routine or program you should consult your physician.

Maintenance

Q: After I finish the Food Monster Program what type of maintenance system is required?

A: None. When you are fully successful with the Food Monster Program there is no maintenance required. Success in the Food Monster Program means you will naturally stay at your normal weight without any external controls such as diets, calorie or portion counting, exercise, pills or supplements.

Hypnosis

Q. Is hypnosis used in the Food Monster?

A. No.  Hypnosis is not used in any aspect of the Food Monster Program.

Pills & Supplements

Q: Are there any medications or supplements to buy?

A: No. The Food Monster Program does not use or require pills, medications, or supplements of any type or form.

Surgery

Q: What about surgery?

A: There is no surgery of any type involved with the Food Monster Program. Surgery does not address the underlying cause of weight gain, which the Food Monster Program does. Once the cause for overweight, which we call the Food Monster Compulsion, is identified and broken, the weight will naturally and safely fall away.

Metabolism

Q: I have a slow metabolism. Does the Food Monster Program work for people with a slow metabolism?

A: The Food Monster works equally well for people with a slow, medium or even a fast metabolism. The Food Monster Program deals with and neutralizes the underling compulsion to eat more than the individual body needs as it is regulated by its specific metabolism. You will ultimately become completely satisfied on the food your body, with your specific metabolism, requires.

A: To get into the Food Monster Program you must attend the half day Food Monster orientation workshop. The workshop schedule is posted on our Events page.

A: No, the workshop is completely free of any obligation. It is perfectly fine for you to attend the workshop and decide that the Food Monster Program is not for you at this time.

Q: How is the program structured?

A: The program consists of women only classes, ranging in size from 7 to 14 participants with one Facilitator. Each class will consist of seven components: 1. the welcome, 2. the “motivational moments”, 3. a Food Monster activity, 4. a Food Monster information topic, 5. a life lesson with success strategies, 6. the Q & A/Homework section, and 7. the closing.

Q: What is the commitment – how long does the program last.

A: The Food Monster Program lasts for 16 weeks. The groups meet once a week for one hour and work through the 7 program components. Each person has a personalized, individualized program with homework that normally takes 10 to 20 minutes daily.

Q: How soon will I begin to see results?

A: The results come in three areas.

  • Weight loss
  • Improved emotions associated with overweight, weight loss, and the situations that cause overweight. That is, reduced stress around these issues.
  • Reduced anxiety around eating.
  • While individual results vary, most people begin to see dramatic reduction of stress virtually immediately. Most people begin to see a reduction in that constant gnawing anxiety around food in the first week. Also, most people begin to see weight loss in the first week.
  • Q: How fast will I lose the weight?

A: Most people lose weight at a safe and healthy rate of 1 to 2 pounds per week. And that is while they continue to eat their favorite foods! No diets, no exercise, no pills.
